So ran all the test and got a green light on everything, even on the broadband connection , which was contradictory as the router was missing the middle broadband connection light and then flashed orange before disappearing again, so how the checker can give false data I've no idea.
Then all three light are green on the router for only a few minutes and ghen the broadband light flashes orange again and the broadband drops off , yet allegedly no errors in the area.. argh .. frustrating

WiFi keeps dropping off Tag Lane Rea of Preston

Why does this happen when major roadworks are in operation 300 yards away yet Sky says there are no known issues.
if you try and report it they will probably say it a BT Openreach issue whom are impossible to contact which is ironic seeing that they are a communications company

Ok, so after reviewing the connections on the router, which haven't changed in four years, it now seems that the Sky router can't handle the data transfers being sent to both the sky box and my NAS drive and due to this it seems that the router has an 'issy fit' and throws out the broadband connectivity So to correct the issue I reconnected the NAS drive from the Sky router to a separate network hub to handle the data transfer which seems to have fixed the broadband dropping out issue.
