If I was using data from sky I wouldn't have needed to go through the app. I have a media wall and hate having cable connections, there are solutions with other apps whereby I can use the existing WiFi network on a secondary data provider. I just think that Sky needs to catch up/build a a more reliable network.

I tried using SkyGo on my phone and mirroring to the TVas the broadband isn't working again. Is it really the case that I still can't watch TV even if I use an alternative Internet provider? (Phone) Talk about adding insult to injury, I've only recently joined Sky and what a mistake!!!!

The restriction on wireless mirroring from the Go app on phone/tablet is unrelated to the data provider: it's a blanket ban built into the app itself.

Output over HDMI cable is possible from a Windows or Apple computer on a standard subscription, or from games console and Apple TV box with a Multiscreen or Whole Home subscription add-on.
