I recently changed router and can't connect my printer either using WPS or password. It worked fine on the old router, I have a new printer which also won't connect. All my other devices connected fine to the new network

Hey

its a canon pixma MG3650S. I assume I need to split the broadband but I have tried to follow the instructions on line and can't find the option to split 5gh and 2.4. I also want to use AirPrint and so need my devices to be on the same network. Its very frustrating and I regret upgrading as I haven't noticed any appreciable improvement in download speeds

It's not possible to split and rename bands on a Max Hub: the 5Ghz signal can be temporarily disabled though.

You may also need to reduce the wireless security level from WPA3 to WPA2-PSK.

Both of these are actioned through the My Sky app.

One should never lower the security below WPA2-PSK (AES) and the best is to keep it on the WPA3-T (transitional WPA3-T level) as this is best for the future and will allow both devices that are WPA3 and WPA2-PSK (AES) to work great in my own experience with a printer that is AirPrint (WPA2-PSK (AES)) and over 10 years old and my new equipment which is WPA3, Apple M3 Pro, Apple iPhone and iPad with WPA3.

I suspect there are many printer models which don't play nicely with WPA3-T, particularly if they've never had firmware updates. People tend to hang on to printers (which were budget items to begin with) longer than they do computers.
