I am new to Sky as a prIP address stated as not in UK, also all Facebook messages are in German Why?

I have been informed since I joined Sky that I am outside of the UK. Why as I never go abroad.

also all Facebook and some other social media notes are in German!

I am an OAP and live in the UK, do not know any German people.

why is my IP address listed as not in the UK.

@Annawatch If you are still having this issue might want to try switching your router off for around an hour to get a new public IP address, as just re-starting the router might just give you the same IP address back,

Hi highlander, super user,

did as said switched router off, unplugged for five hours. Easy to reconnect but in Lottery sign in I remain outside the UK.

I only went a mile away from base in Northumberland.! Certainly did not see the Isle of manny or the many legged monster.

I give up as I can do without frittering my money away, I wrote to them and with all their resources did not offer any help.

So thanks for the suggestion on community feedback. @Annawatch

My IP is with the Sky router installed in my house in Northumberland UK. I have not ever moved outside anywhere! How can my IP address be reset to England UK.?

@Annawatch Leave it off for an hour and see if you are then given a new IP address.

@Annawatch do you use a vpn by any chance ? or does your antivirus have one built in such as avast?

Would be helpful with the ip address so we can see what is going on.

For more than 6 months National lottery states I am outside the UK. Definitely Not.

Again and again National loterry states my IP address is outside the UK? Definitely not, I have asked both Sky EE and the lottery to correct this. Plus completed an answer from the community to switch off for many hours the router and reboot. No it did not work! What next?
leave Sky and find a new provider?

@Annawatch the lottery location detection is not perfect. First thing again is what does the Whereismyipaddress.com site telling you?

Are you using an Aple device set to private browsing by any chance?
