Where you given an activation date?

Note 'BT' is not involved: that's one of many competing ISPs. Lines are installed by Openreach or an Openreach subcontractor.

If it's in the UK, putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which broadband provisioning type is applicable.
