topic WiFi running slow in Broadband

WiFi is running far slower than I am expecting and paying for. In a recent test it was running at just 1mbps... I had the same amount of devices connected on my previous suppliers hub and it ran at 5-600mb consistently. What on earth is happening?

@RobertCorcoran if you want help from the forum you will have to give more details. Most likely issue is poor WiFi signal strength but given each home has different layout etc it is difficukt to advise without knowing more about your current set up. To check the speed to your hub run a speedtest on a device connected by a gigabitvdirect ethernet cable otherwise you end up just testing wifi speeds.

The standard Sky hubs are well able to deliver wifi up to 600Mb/s assuming you are on a full fibre Ultrafast+ or Gigabit service and are measuring speeds in the same room as the hub but measure speeds 2 rooms away spedds will be lower especially if your home has solid internal walls.
