Hi all,

I try to make it short, so I moved innto a new place where I know previous owner had broadband, I know the current broadband line is through the living room's balcony from a hole in the door window frame, and crossing all the room to land on the opposite side where there's the primary socket.

Beginninng of July I ordered a full Fibre Sky Broadband and tomorrow I got the appointment with open reach which mention they'll have to make a drill.

I'm not sure exactly where this drill needs to be placed, but in case I don't want any drill, can I still request a change from Full-Fibre to broadband ?

@LorenzoP in many areas Openreach wont accept new orders for broadband over the old copper netwoork which is due to be decommissioned in a few years. Even if you can still order over copper Sky iften decline the order as full fibre is a far better and more reliable method. It can add to the value of a property.

It is therefore worth getting full fibre installed. The proces is normally pretty painless and the engineers do a neat job and will try to do what you ask. The new service connects using a thin cable from a new box of tricks called an ONT they will fit in your home to a second plastic box they fit outside where the armoured cable from the road terminates. The hole is not big and is sealed with a clever plastic fitment.
