topic Slow internet in Broadband

I've used your app to check connection speed and it says its good 75mb but all devices are still running slow. I've checked with 2 other apps and they show much slower speeds 21mb. So I want an answer as to why this is.

@Stevematthews26 you are not talking to Sky by posting in the forum. Most common explanation though is poor WiFi which is an incredibly common problem. If you need full speed usecan ethernet cable connection to your device. WiFi is great but the signals are affected by the layout, type of construction and level of interference which vary in each home.

If you have not made changesxand speeds are reduced interference is a likely cause. Interference can come from your neighbour's wifi or your own electrical kit. Restarting your hub can help as it finds the least congested wifi channel to use as it boots. You can be more scientific and downloadca WiFi analyzer app onto a mobile and manage tge channels yourself if you have a black Sky hub. See Change your Sky WiFi channel

However the issue could be being caused by other kit in your home things that use wireless communication but not wifi like cordless phones should not be placed close to the hub. The hub is best placed out in the open on a surface above things like radiators tgat block thecsignal.
