Whilst playing on Xbox the download speed is slow so it doesn't allow us to play games. This has been happening for the last four weeks. We cannot download or play online.

@Imagine607 if other decices are behaving normally its an issue with the network connection to the xbox. If all devices are running slowly then run the connection test in the My Sky app as it can book an engineer if it finds a fault.

Assuming your connection is OK the issue sounds like poor network connection in your home. Playing games over wifi us never a good idea especially if the wifi signal is poor not so much because of poor bandwidth as online gaming only requires around 10Mb/s or so but because of the hugh level of jitter which will cause high latency and ping spikes. If at all possible network your xbox by ethernet cables where that is impossible Powerline Networking thst uses your homes mains wiring is a better alternattivecto wifi boosters and the like

Hi everything has been great upto the last couple of weeks. It was just an intermittent thing but it is all thd time we want to play Xbox
