If you have Sky WiFi Max (the service not just the new white hub), then after 2 weeks you can go through the extra support process to get help and any required boosters: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/enhanced-wall-to-wall-wifi-guarantee

@Wazzerwareham Obviously no one wants you to pay more for less, so go through the process to see if the issues can be resolved, that is what you are paying for after all.

As it says on the page, you can even leave the contract if there is a real problem that cannot be resolved satisfactorily.

Why is the old router better in your scenario? Dunno. So many variables it's impossible to say for sure on an internet forum.

Plenty of people have complained about issues with the Sky Max Hub on here, while others have had a smooth journey.

Not having a strong enough signal where you want it could mean faulty hardware (the hub itself), a software issue, something affecting the signal in your home, all sorts.

The good thing about paying extra is they need to fix it for you or let you go, so make them earn their extra money because there are a number of positives in the long term for having a more up to date Wifi 6 router (assuming it works...). 😁
