Trying to check using my mobile phone, had some dodgy reps from EE or so they say at the door, getting my wife to check her speed however they got her to check. Telling her our speed is only 17mps

You can get an app called Speedtest.net on your phone to test the speed. However a more reliable way to test it is using an ethernet connected PC/Laptop & going to https://www.speedtest.net
