Moved to Sky earlier this year. Our connection is awful. We have had engineers out/ sky out still appalling. We live quite far from the exchange so we have slower Internet. Obviously this is hard with teens and wfh. But we know this. We have set everything up to help this. But main issue is it just constantly dips in and out. This morning 6.45am, no one on the Internet except me trying to get on my phone, no Internet, the other night 11.20pm, just myself in the house, no Internet. This is the same through the day. It isn't very consistent. The light on the hub stays white so we have connection. Why is this?? Can anyone give me an answer? Sky don't seem to be able to help and it is frustrating and a shocking service.

@Annabluebell that is unsatisfactory normally we would ask you to post the Hub's connection stats but the mention of a white light implies you have the Wifi Max hub (coloured white itself).which doesnt offer that option

That the hub remains connected is odd as the symptoms appear to show a line issue.

What type of property are you living in? I am wondering if you have wifi issues particlarly if your home has solid walls. A useful app to investigate WiFi signals is Wifi Sweetspots which shows the wifi speed between the hub and the device as you move round your home. The new Sky Max hub makes extensive use of the 5MHz band which has less range than the 2.4GHz band and is particukarly poor at passing through solid walls.

Thank you for your reply, I have downloaded the app and I will see if ut shows me anything.

I live in a brick build late 1950's bungalow which is very open planned. The hub is in the main living space which is central to the whole house. I've had a sky hse expert even come to check location of hub vs the house. Sometimes I am right beside the hub and still nothing.

Its extremely frustrating and very unsatisfactory. Not helped by Teens who shout at me when it goes down 🙄
