IPS address and password

Hi there i need help. I want to connect an ASUS router to my sky wifi but my husband says i need the IPS username and password but i have no idea where to get this. Does anyone know what he means pleae?

I cant connect it when he turns the wifi off to connect it and im having troule

What connection type do you have fttp with an openreach ont or fttc with a mastersocket?

What asus router model do you have,?

In the majority of instances you just ethernet the asus to the sky hub and disable wifi on the sky hub and put the asus into access point mode

Thats a router only so if you have fttc via a standard mastersocket you would need a modem as well

It should work with an fttp connection directly connected to the fibre ont replacing the sky hub completely

Could you post your hub stats to determine your connection type

I cant find that sorry ive unplugged it all as it was winding me up.

Ive tried to set the new ASUS up but when i follow the instructions, so when i go to settings on phone, wifi and select the right ASUS wifi connection it then requires a password which i have no clue what that is. I think i need to set that all up on the ASUS website? AGain, no clue

Is the sky hub plugged into something like this

Or into a standard openreach mastersocket

Set the connection type on the asus to automatic ip.

This should bring up client identifier (option 61) and type in

anything@skydsl|anything

I would advise that you use the asus ip address starting 192.168 in a web address bar as opposed to the asus router app
