OK, I have plugged in the ether net to one of the extender ports and the other end into the PC, however, it's not reconising the ethernet cable being connected and is continuing to use the WiFi. Sorry, I'm a little confused as my previous system used the ethernet connection as main connection (this was using an extender for my previous router (BT).

Can you use the Ethernet cable connections available on the WiFi extenders provided, and if so, how do you get these to connect and become usable?

I have connected the cable to the extender and PC, but the PC still uses the WiFi rather than the Ethernet cable.

What extenders do you have sky max pods ,sky broadband booster or a third party extender.

These would be termed wifi to ethernet bridge ie wifi to the extender , ethernet to the device and should work by plugging ethernet from the extender to the device

In theory, yes, that should work, but there may be little actual benefit in doing so. Having the 'booster' (it's really a repeater or relay) in an appropriate position halfway between source and client is likely to be more beneficial.

Hi, thank you, I have the extender supplied by Sky that supports and links to the Sky Max router (white hexagon one).

Then one can be used to connect to a device on the lan via ethernet
