I am a novice at dealing with complications on my wifi and received my sky max hub 10 days ago having moved from another provider.

I am impressed with it all so far. However this is my issue that is leading me to regret the move.

My Canon printer will not connect. I have read so many help pages and toggled off the 5 GHz toggle in my app and still no joy. Once I reinstated the 5GHz toggle i noticed that my Ring cameras were no longer working. They had connected perfectly 10 days ago. They had an error code saying they needed to be on a 2.4GHz band. Very confusing when they had no issues until I toggled things off for the printer.

I toggled the 5GHz option off again to reconnect them and had read that I could back to the 5GHz once they are connected via 2.4GHz. The second i retoggled the 5GHz toggle back on i lost the caneras again.

it seems i am limited therefore to the 2.4GHz and am questioning the need for the Sky Max hub abd additional cost at this stage.

Can anyone help / make any suggestions on what I can do to fix this - and the printer refuses point blank to work even though it was working just fine with my last supplier!

@Carolk71

Check with a wireless analyser that the Sky Max is broadcasting on the 2.4GHz band because I believe these two system client devices you are using are only 2.4GHz. And it may be that the AI in Sky Max is picking a poor wireless channel for 2.4Ghz which is receiving a great deal of interference and the AI belief system may think (AI) and get it wrong!

Wireless Analysers are available for most smartphones and laptop computers, so do check actual signals manually...
