&lt;P&gt;A typical ISP router and its onboard WiFi encryption is good enough to resist any 'hacker' a civilian is ever likely to encounter: you have to seriously annoy a state-level intelligence agency or similar adversary before real hacking is actually a thing.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;What these can't protect anyone against is financially motivated social engineering attacks where a user is convinced to click on a bogus link, permit remote access, voluntarily hand over credentials or install software which turns out to be malicious.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
