topic Signal/ connection dropping in Broadband

I work from home and regularly the connection drops on my laptop, I can have other devices running at the same time with no issue to them, I have had my laptop rebuilt and the issue continues. I randomly check my connection through the sky app and it picks up that there had been an issue, but when I run the check it says all is fine. I have tried resetting my router and. Still no change. Is this a wifi/ router problem? Or my laptop?

I assume you are connecting via Wifi.

Is this Wifi 2.4GHz or 5GHz? Do your other devices connect using the same? When it drops are you able to reconnect the Wifi immediately?

As other devices are not having connection issues, I suspect it is laptop related, possibly due to interference from other WiFi networks.

It could be related to the channel you are using. I would start with ensuring that it is set to auto for 2.4GHz and 80 channel 36 for 5GHz.

I've got to admit this doesn't mean much to me, but checking my laptop, it says the band is 5Ghz and the channel is 36. Checking my mobile phone and tablet (none sim) (both samsung) it says

Current Wireless Channel 1 (2.4 GHz), 36 (5 GHz)

Wireless Encryption WPA2-PSK
