I'm just checking my understanding about Sky broadband compensation.

I was given the following activation date:

Scheduled go live date: Friday 24th May

And the Sky terms state the following:

If it’s not activated by midnight on the confirmed date, we’ll pay you £6.10 for each full day it’s late including your activation date. So, if your activation date was Monday and we activate it on:

Its almost been 7 days late with very little in the way of updates, on the assumption it goes live tomorrow (which is unlikely) does this mean:

6.10 * 7 = £42.70

Or is the small print somewhere that (a) limits this amount or (b) provides a get-out clause? I can't find one. One concern is the wording of "confirmed" date. Although everything states 24th - will Sky state that this was not "confirmed".

Has anyone else had experience of claiming compensation?

Thanks.

The compensation scheme is approved by Ofcom see https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-telecoms-and-internet/advice-for-consumers/costs-and-billing/automatic-compensation-need-know
