Connecting ASUS AX5400 to Sky modem - FTTP

I currently FTTP with an ASUS AX5400, primarily for the VPN facility for all my devices. I have landline for calls.

I'm about to be switched to Sky FTTP and am losing my landline, so phone calls will go though Sky, and want to connect my ASUS. Is it likely to be plug an play, or if not what changes to settings would I need to change to get my ASUS to work and to retain my VPN access (I use NordVpn).

@Lesley0 while your Asus will conect directly to the ONT with a few settings changes you need the Sky hub directly connected to the ONT if you want to usecthe landline facility.

However connecting your Asus behind the Sky hub in a double NAT set up should work unless you have some odd apps. Simple set up tufn off thecwifi on the Sky hub and possibly put the Asus into the Sky hub's DMZ to acoid firewall issues and you should be good to go.

Thanks @Chrisee - so turn off the wifi on the Sky hub and possibly put the Asus into the Sky hub's DMZ. What is the DMZ? Pardon my ignorance.

@Lesley0 literally DMZ= Demilliterised Zone but before you panic it is simply a way to put the Asus outside Sky hub's firewall which simplifies some issues with the NAT set up. This is a Post I wrote last year explaining how to set it up if you decide to do that.
