Hi everyone,

Last couple of days i have been searching on the forum and google to setting up my new modem-router for home. However, I 've experienced very strong attitude from Sky costumer service regarding their T&C and I could not find any solution across the from and google too.

As all you know, Sky does not help us to set our own 3rd party modem/routers as they are checking the network through their own product. Last couple of days I have found some details to set up my new modem but I could not success.

First of al,l I do not have fibre internet and I use;

Sky Broadband Essential Plus - Great for browsing and email, with average download speeds of 11Mb/s. And it comes with extra features like flexible engineer visits, daily checks on your line and more.

So on the asus router set up page, i have 2 options, which one i needed to choose ?

SKY(MER) or SKY(PPPOA).

(removed)

Still could not work.

Thirdly I have Master Socket 5C from openreach BT on the wall where I put my cable in. I changed master microfilter from sky with ASUS one as wel,l if this information works out.

After all of those websites forums etc. I just confused with everything as I am not a tech guy.

I would be really appreciated if you could help me with this issue to set up my new modem on sky broadband.

Thank you in advance for you assistance.

Moderator note: Removed third party link.

Since you are not on Fibre it should be the PPPOA option in the WAN settings
