That's the key information: provisioning will be over new FTTP rather than any existing copper circuit, and Openreach thinks there's an existing clear duct with a draw cord in place.

I've recently cancelled my set up with virgin media as I needed permission from my neighbours for them to bury a cable under the shared access to our driveway (see photo for context). The whole process has been a frustrating nightmare with virgin not being helpful in explaining to the neighbours what work needs to be done.

I've now signed up for a sky service but I'm worried I will have the same issue so I'm wondering if its possible to tell if my home has an open reach connection already as it seems unlikely my neighbours will give permission for anything that requires the shared access to be dug up. My house has a grey junction box outside with a black cable running into it from a pipe coming out of the ground and on the inside this did have a white box attached with a telephone connector but this has been removed during renovation as we were expecting to have our virgin services installed.

I'm not sure if anyone would be able to gleam from the above information whether or not I'll be able to have my sky services installed. I know its probably a case of waiting for the engineer to visit but not sure when this is and the whole process so far has been so frustrating, I just want broadband 😞

Thanks in advance for any help or advice offered

Putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which provisioning type is applicable.

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.

Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

Thanks for your reply,

Here is the info, it doesn't mean a whole lot to me but seems to be that I do have an existing connection that can be used?
