Speed consistently below guaranteed

My plan & WiFi checker say that I should be getting 75 MB/s, but network tests consistenly tell me I am getting around 35 MB/s. It is often lower than this, but never higher. I have been having issues with lag in online games. This is less than half of what I should be getting, and what my service checker is claiming that I am getting.

@crostotot Your router stats show you are connected at 79mbps and and that is the speed which Sky guarantee, the speedtests you are running are showing the speed to your device and that will always be slower(due to unavoidable overheads and interference) and in some case can be significantly slower.

35 mbps is less than half of 79 mbps, what could possibly be causing this? I'm not downloading anything, I've checked for anything running in the background taking up bandwidth. What can I do to better my connection? I am no more than 2 ft. from the router, but my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port so hard wiring is not an option.

You have answered your own question. Doesn't matter how close you are to the router, WiFi can be disrupted & slowed down at any distance. I also noticed that you have devices connected via ethernet to your router. What are these devices? Is it Sky Q by any chance?

No, it's a POE extender that my housemates computer plugs into (he is also not downloading anything/using up the bandwidth. This happens consistently, even if his computer is off)

Any computer with a USB port can host an ethernet adapter.

Sure, I appreciate the suggestion, but I have the laptop on my lap on the couch. Neither the adaptor nor the cable is convenient for this.

Well unfortunately ethernet is your best option. If you browse the recommended setup for GeForceNow I am sure you will find it says to use ethernet.

Either this or you need to look at getting a 3rd party router which can handle WiFi better and has QoS.
