I have recently bought a pair of Asus Zen XT 12 Pro units and they work perfectly as a replacement for the Sky router.

Hey, hope you've all had a nice weekend. Starting a contract with sky next week and have a question re third party hardware.

First of all I'll have FTTP (previously had BT fttp at the same property)

I'm just wondering if there is a list of routers / mesh network devices that will work as a direct replacement for the sky the sky hub. (I don't mind messing around with the router settings I.e. having to play around with PPPoE as I did previously with BT)

Will probably make a mini site with this information on as I couldn't find much online.

Currently have a trio of TP Link Decos but happy to switch to something else.

@DobuitaSt

Firstly the deco units may work with sky fttp using dhcpv6 prefix delegation for authentication instead of mer/dhcp option 61

The most popular set up is using an asus rt ax55u, rt ax56u, rt ax58u, rt ax68u, rt ax82u, rt ax86u, rt ax88u which all have mesh capabilities with the same model or a model ore 2 down (ie if you get a rt ax 58u as the main router consider some rt ax55u or 56u as the mesh). The big guns of asus mesh are the asus zenwifi xt8, xt9 and i think they have an xt12 now which would be better been teamed with the same model for the aimesh nodes

hello,

I am also look to upgrade from the SR203, I have fibre 1GBps. Apart from the asus routers identified in this thread, are there any more makes/models to look at which are a direct replacement for the Sky SR203 router?
