@Tjackson1 to get a booster from Sky you will need to buy an add-on package Sky do not supply boosters otherwise. They have two the older Broadband Boost at £5 per month which gets you a simple booster if you need one and afew other bits and bobs including their Broadband Hub if you dontvalready have one. They have a newer package called Wifi Max which is £7.50 a month gets a much more modern hub and up to 3 pod extenders if after a visit an engineer agrees you need them. Wifi Max doesnt work if you have Sky Q tv boxes unfortunately.

It can be cheaper in the long run to buy your own kit if it is a single room then powerline networking kits can work which uses the home's mains wiring to carry tge signal this is particularly useful if you want to use a games console.

I have absolutely no internet in the downstairs of my house (upside down house)

just rung sky and they said nothing they can do. I'm extremely unhappy with this response considering it says online that I can have a booster put in if signal is poor

When I spoke to the woman on the phone she said that there is nothing on my account to be able to add on a booster package. She pretty much said for me to buy my own booster or leave sky.

I've got the m100 package I think it is. It only went live yesterday.

I wouldn't mind buying a booster but I also feel I shouldn't have to buy one when it's not my fault. And I don't want to be paying god knows how much for a booster that I don't know whether it is a good one or not.

I don't have sky Q, just the WiFi as I use the Xbox for Netflix etc etc.

I recently left from virgin media and had to have a booster for downstairs, I didn't have to pay any extra for this. I still have the virgin booster, could I use this for sky do you think?

Also just had a look and the virgin booster definitely won't work as it has no buttons to connect to a different wifi

@Tjackson1

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these. Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.
