As mentioned already this is normal for an FTTC line that has had DLM reset which yours will have done when you switched. Once DLM sees the line as stable it will bring the ping down, this is often after 1-2 weeks

I have VDSL2 to my house & have been with Zen then switched to BT & have now switched to SKY. Speeds are exactly as I expected them which is great however my ping has jumped from 8ms to 22ms.

I plugged in my Vigor modem to read the line stats & im on fast path but I have an interleave delay of 16ms which is causing my higher than usual ping.

How can this be rectified?

After still no improvment, i have now cancelled with sky & moved to plusnet. Possibly the worst ISP i have had to engage with. Upsetting considering the reasonable pricing.
