&lt;P&gt;As long as both ISPs are on the Openreach network, the gaining ISP contacts the losing ISP so the customer doesn't need to do so.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Note that, weirdly, although Now is actually owned by Sky Group, there have been posts indicating that a Now phone number cannot be carried over to Sky Broadband.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have sky tv but not sky broadband.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If i upgrade to a Sky TV / Broadband package.......will sky contact&amp;nbsp; / cancel my existing out of contract ISP (with Now broadband) when they do the switch over or do i have to do that - before or after agreeing with sky?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;when I look at the sky upgrade pages on mysky theres nothing about disconnecting or notifying the current ISP provider.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am out of contract on a rolling deal with my existing broadband provider so guess it should be striaghtforward switch?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
