Does Sky uses CGNAT?

Hi,

I'm recently looking at changing broadband and have recently signed up for Sky broadband.

However I forgot to check if Sky is using cg-nat and I cannot find similar answer on google. Does anyone know for home broadband if Sky is using cgnat ?

So you are not with sky at the minute?

I had a look at my public ip address on the router and it matches the ipv4 address on whatismyip so no cg-nat AFAIK

@happymorning93 Sky do not use CG Nat as each connection is assigned a unique public dynamic IP4 address so they can change, are in practice seem pretty sticky - mine has been the same for 6 months or more.

In the last couple of years Sky have moved pools of IP4 addresses from their European operations to the UK to deal with growth.

CGNAT is typically found in cellular data delivery, not fixed-line broadband.
