&lt;P&gt;An 'IP address' cannot be 'infected': as noted above, that's language typically associated with the start of an attempted criminal scam.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;An individual device using a particular IP address, or one on a domestic network with a public IP &lt;STRONG&gt;might&lt;/STRONG&gt; be 'infected' but these days actual viruses are vanishingly rare compared to the flood of self-inflicted ransomware and non-technical social engineering scams, neither of which is an 'infection'.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
