Openreach came out to install broadband today. They could not complete the job due to technical issues outside. Basically they need to install a new socket to plug us into. Will they just turn up to fix, or is another appointment needed ?

Sky can't do anything except explain the process until openreach have failed in their service level agreement

if the visit was today it is unlikely they will have even notified sky of any issues yet
