A broadband router from any ISP connects to an ONT (the 'network box') over ethernet cable: there's no such thing as a wireless-capable ONT.

I am getting fibre fitted in my home. I was wondering if the hub needs to be connected to the network box by Ethernet cable or will my hub be able to sit anywhere in my house and get a WiFi signal from the network box. I didn't want to be restricted as to where I put my sky broadband hub??

@iretteri

Locating the router elsewhere typically requires either longer ethernet cable or structured cabling in the walls.

In theory it's also possible to use Powerline network adaptors to link ONT to router, although this isn't a solution which any ISP officially supports and could well be a bottleneck for 500Mbs and Gigabit fibre.
