Switching to Sky

I've just ordered the Superfast Broadband with sky. I've cancelled Virgin Media and my cut off day with them is 27/02/2024. My go live with Sky says 02/02/2024. I've tried looking but can't find anything on how to change the live date to closer to the cut off from VM?

@JadeSaynor You won't be able to move it closer, the date Sky gave you will be the first available date in the Openreach diary.

It is best not to even attempt to cancel your virgin services until after the sky service is active and working side by side

depending how long you have been with virgin the openreach network into your property may need to be fitted, replaced or upgraded depending on your package

that is why you get a switching credit for moving to sky to cover the cost plus more once you place the cancellation

Hi I switched over to sky broadband awhile a go, does sky talk to Virgin and cancel my account with them for me ?

No: that currently only happens when both ISPs are on the national Openreach network.
