So my parents internet keeps disconnecting, though wifi connection to router is fine

They have an engineer coming out tomorrow.

Problem is they have an aftermarket router setup so we could have much stronger signal.

Will this be an issue when they come round?

Will they just say it's because of this other router?

Thanks

@Kramb0 Sky permit but do not support third party routers. It is unlikely the engineer will care too much but it would be wise to have the Sky hub available so if they do it can be swapped in.

What is surprising is Sky have booked an engineer at all as normally they refuse to do that unless their diagnostics which require the hub to be connected indicates a fault.

Thanks for the response.

Will see what happens and yes we still have the Sky router.

Cheers
