I have recently joined Sky. I have had a couple of phone calls from someone saying they are from Sky and they are trying to improve my internet. They are asking my to download an app while on the phone with them to do this. How do I know if they are genuine?

Definitely a scam. Sky doesn't need the customer to download apps

No, that's a scam. Almost all such unsolicited calls are dubious, and anything involving remote access software absolutely is the start of an attempt to obtain online banking details
