Recommend you upgrade to a dual-band 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz VDSL2 wireless router, eg: @JimM1 is quite correct that is an SR102 Sky Hub router 2.4Ghz only and that needs upgrading to a newer model. You'll need to talk to Sky for an upgrade or search for a commercial router compatible with Sky DHCP Option 61 and VDSL2 system standard for your service.

Hi,

my broadband connection drops out overnight, 90% of the days, for the last month or two.

I normally wake up at 6/6.30ish and most days no internet available. Will sometimes be up 1/2am and never any issues at that time, so must be happening sometime early am.

Always the lights on router all show fine, but no devices (tablet, phones, pc, google hub, Phillips Hue hub, sky+ box) are able to connect.

Most often tablet can still detect the network but when try to reconnect just get an unable to connect message. However, sometimes the network isn't detectable. On the odd occasion will reconnect for a few seconds, load a webpage, and then drop out again, three/four times, before going into one of the two previously mentioned states (unable to connect or undetectable).

This resolves when reset router, but then same thing happens the next day so very frustrating.

Have seen people get asked for stats so here's what my router is saying following reset about 30 minutes ago.

Router Statistics

System Up Time: 00:32:35

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collision Pkts Tx b/s Rx b/s Up Time

WAN MER 75979 1629 63. 0 40811 37942 00:30:57

LAN Up 5527 1134 0 13486 720 00:32:35

WLAN Up 2003 21 96007 0 4332 62 68840 00:31:40

Broadband Link Downstream Upstream

Connection Speed (Kbps) 79999 19520

Line Attenuation (dB) DS1:12.6 DS2:29.4 DS3:44.1 US0:4.3 US1:22.9 US2:33.9

Noise Margin (dB). DS1:3.5 DS2:3.4 DS3:3.5 US0:6.4 US1:6.2 US2:6.1

Any help? Or is it as simple as needing a new router?

The link will also take you so you can view the type

Setting up your Sky hub | Sky Help | Sky.com
