No settings need to be changed but first thing is to make sure the hub is out in the open and not in a cupboard or in a corner on the floor. If your service was insta lled today it can take 12 hours before Sky's network delivers the full speed.

Q1. We are supposed to get 500mbps, currently only getting 25mbps. installers said sky router is rubbish, sky have said i need to change the router settings as the ones they come out with dont cope with fibre. however im fed up calling Sky and going through their automated diagnostic system.

Q2. Can I get a new router and simply plug it in instead of the Sky one?

thanks

Suggest you call Sky if you are unhappy as your hub is well capable of delivering the speeds you bought.
