My Skystream has been stuck on build version qs037.058.00p for quite some time now. What can I do to change that?

Nothing. If there's an update it'll get pushed to your puck when it is appropriate.

If your device works, keep using it. There are no improvements with a higher build number. Sky are in fact in the process of rolling back the QS40 update because it had bugs.

That is a recent and one of the current firmware builds.

You cannot force and should not try (by factory resets) and force a UI software or firmware build change.

It will be made available to your pucks and installed when Sky pushes a flag for it to be installed.

Sky firmware builds and UI software are sent out over a gradual period in batches.

The UI version is the more often updated release and carries most of the changes for Sky OS.

Once again it's pushed out in phases as above.

How do I know if Sky Stream is connected via cable or Wi-Fi?

@pedro_n_f_d_c if you didn't connect an ethernet cable, it's connected via WiFi.

That's borderline for a decent service from SkyOS. Any speed fluctuations will cause instability.

@pedro_n_f_d_c no need to ask the same question within a couple of hours ( or indeed minutes)

Open Settings and go to Network. Then under Advanced Settings there will be a On/Off toggle for Wifi.

When I go to Netflix my internet speed is 26.19 but if I do a speed test it's 70.76

What device are you doing the speed test on?

The network check on the puck's Netflix app shows you the broadband speed actually being received by the puck, any other speed test, be it on a speed test app on your mobile phone or on a laptop, is only showing you what speed that particular device is receiving.

If the speed is lower on the Netflix check on your puck then you need to troubleshoot ways of getting a better signal to it. They don't have a very large WiFi antenna and they are susceptible to interference so maybe try using an ethernet cable between your router and the puck and turn WiFi off on the puck's network settings.

Laptops tend to have a better WiFi antenna than Stream pucks.

The Netflix speed test is the one you need to worry about if you are having trouble streaming on a Sky Stream puck. The speed your laptop is receiving is totally irrelevent.
