    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4716888"&gt;@KKAVFC&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;I would go to settings / accessibility / Subtitles and switch the toggle to off. &amp;nbsp;This will turn them off completely for all Sky channels so will not come on when you turn your puck on. &amp;nbsp;As mentioned by&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/460386"&gt;@mikealanr&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;the Apps have their own subtitle options.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you want to have subtitles for the occasional Sky programme then use the 3 white dots button on your remote and select the subtitles option (it will only appear if the programme you are watching is broadcast with subtitles).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When using the 3 white dots button option the subtitles will revert to off if you change channels.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Why whenever I turn my Sky puck on are the subtitles showing immediately on screen irrespective of what channel I'm tuned to? On occasions I use them but I cannot find a way of disabling them on power up. Cheers</description>
