topic Signal awful, channels constantly freezing. error messages. in Sky Stream

Got sky puck installed in new house. Since moving in the TV has done nothing but freeze. Comes up poor signal, error messages. I cant fast forward because it freezes, apps wont work and even the channel guide page freezes and wont load. I have to turn it on and off at the wall to restart it and most of the time this doesnt even work. Im paying extra for Sports channels and honestly every game ive watched has been constantly interrupted by this issue. When I use the dignaositc tool theres never any issues it says everything is working fine. I dont have any monitors nearby etc. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to resolve it?

I dont have any monitors nearby etc. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to resolve it?

The diagnostic tool is pretty pointless. Sky Stream relies entirely on you providing the puck with as fast and stable a broadband connection as possible. Without this it simply will not work.

You need to see what network speed the puck is actually receiving, not what a diagnosic app tells you it's receiving. To do this, open the Netflix app on the puck, navigate to the get help menu and run a network check.

You need a minimum of 25Mbps for HD streaming, 30Mbps for UHD, but preferably a LOT more in order to have any chance of stability, particularly if you have a lot of devices consuming bandwidth in your household.
