Clear “continue watching”?

Anyone know how to clear "continue watching" on my tv via Sky Streaming please?

@Ruth2e are you trying to remove specific programmes or the entire rail. Removing specific items is actually harder. If you let us know I will know what advice to give you.

Hi again @Ruth2e If you log into your MySky account at www.sky.com and then click on the small head and shoulders icon (top right).

Then from the My Details menu select Data & Personalisation. There you will find various toggle switches but the one you want in near the bottom of the page and is called "Sky Glass Product Analytics, Personal Recommendations & Profiling"

If you switch the toggle to OFF it will remove your continue watching rail (it may take a few hours to disappear). If you later decide to turn it on again it will take a day or so to start re-populating with the programmes you have watched since you turned it back on.

Personally I find the CW rail very useful but also very frustrating in that you can't easily remove programmes you no longer want to watch and in some instances you can't remove them at all. When my rail starts to get too many unwanted items in it I use the above procedure. From memory it takes roughly overnight for the rail to disappear and then a couple of days to start re-populating again with new programmes.

Mine had totally disappeared and I want it back.
I've made sure this setting is ON and I've restarted the pick twice and even tried a factory reset,

its been missing for 3 days now.,any other ideas?

Did you have to enable the setting for it to start repopulating new shows.

Yes - the setting needs to be switched ON for it to start populating the CW rail again. However it can take a couple of days of shows to start displaying.

Click on the programme in the continue watching list and scroll down the list of options - there is a delete from continue watching list available in that menu

Not quite right, you can remove from PLAYLIST but not CONTINUE WATCHING. We all live in hope that a clean up option is introduced to CW soon. Five years and counting 🙄

Simple solution on sky stream - fast forward the programme you dont want on the CW scroll bar to the end - it drop off the listing - bingo - chris

I'm not alone then in thinking that the Skypuck interface is an utter shambles and really is not fit for purpose.

Looking at the comments, I'm amazed that it's not changed in five years.

Fully appreciate that it's streaming rather than storage, but there must be a way for the Devs to come up with an interface that allows simply removing items from the continued watching list.

Everyone's going to start stuff that they then realise is utter tosh and will want to get rid of it to save time and clutter.

The fast forward option does not always work and over the last 5 years there have been many an issue with both playlists and continue watching.

Sooooo many posts have been made concerning the weakness in the continue watching process over the years. Sky are completely deaf to it after all why listen to the customer and daily user 🤔.
