This is still happening. Keep trying to watch NBA games on Sky Stream and cuts off before the game finishes. Hugely frustrating

Why can't Sky fix the issue with recordings of NBA games cutting off early? If this was the premier league it would be fixed straight away. This week the Milwaukee Bucks v Philadelphia 76ers game cut off 6 mins before the game finished. Tired of having to find YouTube highlights to try and work out how a game finished.

I know it is not ideal but have you tried recording / playlisting the next scheduled programme.

This is what we suggest for any sport that might overrun (although I don't know how this may work on SKY stream)

As @mikealanr mentions, you will need to email the VR Team to report the cloud recordings cutting off you have set to record via your playlist or the On demand matches within the Sport>NBA catch up section.

Send an email to the Sky Viewer relations team to report it;

They do respond to emails with any updates for your queries or problems.

Thanks. It's a good suggestion - unfortunately it requires me to be super organised! Sky Sports is supposed to be a premium product so it feels like this is something that should have a technical fix. For all Sky Stream is very clever in this case I'd be better off having a VHS recorder. If it happened with Premier League games I'd imagine it would get sorted very quickly. I've raised with the technical support team (again).

I have reported it. Multiple times. Every time they send me to technical support. Every time they say they can't fix it. All that's left is for me to howl into the void, or complain on here

A new version of this tonight. This time it's the start of the game that's missing. Philadelphia v LA starts with three minutes left in the first half. And yes I've reported it to Sky.

At the moment I'm recording the playoffs and getting the second half of 2 games instead of whole games. What's going on?

I complained multiple times about NB games being cut off. In the end the nearest I got to an answer is below. Essentially it's all about games not starting and finishing when they were expected to. That explains why recorded versions are wrong, I don't understand why on-demand versions aren't available later. I'm guessing it's a rights issue. The explanation from Sky is:

Live sporting events - NBA Basketball in this instance - may occasionally finish later than their scheduled broadcast times. When that happens, any recordings and playlist versions can sometimes stop at the original end time rather than following the full live event. By amending the on-screen TV listings (EPG) when programmes over-run would cut off any recordings that may have been set by other viewers, so we have to be mindful of this.

This is an unfortunate reality of broadcasting live sports content and we are sorry that this impacts your viewing enjoyment of NBA Basketball. Nonetheless, we are continually looking for ways to develop and improve our service and broadcasts. Development in this area does take some time and will be something done over the long-term.
