Hi, we've recently had Sky broadband and streaming tv. We are getting about 500mb in the living room. The smart tv can play all the tv apps no problem. But when using/watching sky stream it's constantly buffering as though it's struggling with the internet but the sky signal is excellent. I've moved the puck away from other electrical components as best as I can, tried re setting and re starting but nothing is helping. Has anyone else suffered with this problem and solved it?

First thing to do is run a speed test via the Netflix app as this will show you what speeds the puck is actually receiving...

Ok. That would suggest that your puck isn't getting it's full bandwidth. This is usually caused by a weak signal so best to try repositioning your router, puck or both...

The Speedtest on my phone is saying 500mbps in the same place as the puck. So the signal seems strong and the position seems good too. Sky Network connection says excellent WiFi connection also but still buffers.

I've moved the WiFi range extender into the same room and this seems to have solved the issue. Netflix signal test has gone up to 275mbps

I don't understand why this is!

The reason is because everything is on located Sky's servers, unlike a Firestick, Roku etc. The box is just a slave device so Stream needs a strong, and more importantly, stable connection to access material. Which is why, when you have second box added to your account, you can access your playlist and favourites etc.
