Programmes restart after each advert

Whenever I attempt to watch programmes on apps, I dread the adverts because after each advert, the programmme that I am watching reverts to the beginning of whatever I am watching and I have to fast forward to where I was prior to the advert.

It is so frustrating and happens on a lot of apps, for example, ITVx, 5, Discovery+, HBO Max.

It happens on both pucks and makes viewing programmes so tedious.

@Lou-06 Try going to Settings, System settings, Reset & restart and select App refresh. This takes a few minutes so wait for it to return you to the Home Screen. Not always necessary but I like to go back in as above and select Reset your tv. Again wait for it to return you to the Home Screen. See if that helps, also check your puck has nothing touching it for at least 6 inches. Also check your broadband speed which should be at least 25-30Mbps.

Do you have the ad skipping pack?

Im thinking more for your ITVx or C5 apps.

For HBO and Discovery+, not sure I've heard it doing that, normally with apps of that type, the apps cause app dropouts or black/green screens.

Are there any other apps you use that have the same issue?
