Can no longer watch live TV from the start or rewind or pause on Sky Stream

Up until recently, I've been able to pause live TV and 'restart' and/or rewind a programme while on a TV channel using the Sky Stream Puck, but that is no longer the case.

For instance, the other day I tried to watch a Channel 4 programme that was broadcasting on Sky Stream (using the TV guide and selecting the channel and then the live programme) — it was about 20 minutes into the programme, so I went to press 'watch from the start' as I used to be able to, but the option was not there. Nor could I pause or rewind. The same for another programme on ITV yesterday.

One of the main reasons I signed up to Sky just under six months ago was to use this feature that is no longer working.

Anyone knows what's going on?

BTW, I have tried restarting the puck etc, and nothing works.

Anyone having issues with watch from start. I'm no longer able to select watch from start in the channel view on itv, channel 4, or 5. When I press the select button I get a technical fault error message.

I've tried refreshing apps, clearing cache, restarting the puck and doing a factory reset but it's not fixed the issues.

On seeing some posts on here, I have noticed also that C4 last few days has not been offering 'Watch from Start'

C5 for me is working fine.

But be aware that some of the overnight/early morning like the long advertising programmes do not offer Watch from Start.

I am going to report this into our Superuser closed forum area for Sky to check.

Having same problem, missus is giving me a load of grief because she can't get the start of I am a celeb again, every other channel she has tried works fine except for the one she wants to watch, she wants me to cancel and go back to VM, this needs to be fixed, it is a terrible experience.

Can't you just open the ITVX app and click the restart option on there? It works on my iPhone & Apple TV box.

This is a real issue for me too; it was a key selling point. I already dislike the segregated feel of Sky Stream compared to Sky Q. I’d love all on-demand shows to appear in Sky’s UI rather than having to switch between apps. I’ve already missed several ITV shows in the past few weeks because of this and I’m glad it’s been raised.

Thanks for the tip, it did not work on the LG app but it did work on the Sky ITVX app, I might not die tonight after all, thank you 😄

Still that is a very clunky user experience and is inconsistent with every other channel on the stream box.

Watch from Start is not available on ITV since the "Press... to explore top 10 on ITVX" message

Watch from Start is not available on ITV since the "Press... to explore top 10 on ITVX" message has appeared in the top right hand corner. Is it just me?!

I've tried restarting, updating, and anything else available to try, but nothing works to reset it. It's available and working on all other channels apart from any ITV ones. It's really frustrating, especially as watching live from the start via ITVX doesn't allow you to fast forward anything.

Can anyone help? Or is it a Sky fault? Thanks

For the last 2 weeks I have not been able to watch from start on itv the only thing that pops up is top right side of screen is coloured dots to press for the top ten on itv. Where has watch from start gone 😕

If you open the ITVX app, go to the live channel streams on the menu on the left hand side, open the one you want and you can click watch from the start there.

Thanks for your help but I have done this but when you try and pause it doesn't do that, like when it did before and you cannot rewind with it either. I very much appreciate your help and support.

Only some ITV content and channels offer the watch from the start option and the ability to pause. Rewinding can also be restricted by ITV.

Mine isn't working for restart programme on 3, 4 or 5 and I can't pause or rewind in app either.

i pay for add skipping as well and can't use it.
any fixes?? I've tried restarting the puck.

Watch from start doesn't work for me either on ITV. I accept that using ITVX is a workaround, however, it means watching all the ads, when I am paying for ad skipping. Clearly an issue here

As in my post above, that I have made as the temporary answered post, that I have alerted Sky in the Superuser community closed area.

Sky are aware, so hopefully will fix it soon.

I have again today jolted Sky in our closed area that it's still not fixed.

Thank you @lettice i was trying to identify if the fault was effecting all or just some customers. Hopefully it will be sorted soon. For me it's affecting ch 4 and itv
