What is the issue with fast forwarding and rewinding on stream? Either flicks back to the start of the programme or back to a part that was before the previous advert? Is this a common problem?

This is a known issue, new software is being rolled out it resolves the WFS (Watch from Start) your probably on QS 034, when you get QS 035 you'll be able to WFS without issue,.

My Puck is on QS 035 & WFS works fine, hopefully it won't be long before your get it.

Still happening. Twice today at half time in football. Press fast forwards, instant restart at the beginning.

My sky puck has always had the issue- if you are lucky on speed 6 you can fast forward minimally if you are lucky- if you dare to try speed 30 it will guarantee to rewind and you may as well watch the adverts it takes so long. It's painfull
