topic Sky kids overpriced? in Sky Stream

I have and enjoy Sky Steam but the Sky kids option is £8 extra for me on Sky Stream, I or kids could watch many of the shows elsewhere on Netflix, etc. But instead of buying the Sky kids pack it would be cheaper to just get a Now TV 12 month entertainment subscription for £4.99 and get most of the Sky Kids channels included with that and the choice of watching on any TV with NOW installed (though only one at a time).

Surely nuts?

I must admit I do agree with your comment. I've been with Stream for 2 years and I love the service, had few if any problems, and the pic quality is top notch. But 2 year contracts with built in annual price increases is enough for me. I'm leaving when the new Apple TV box is released and I can then have a similar Stream like experience with Now and the TV Launcher app for nealy half the price. OK I don't get Netflix, Discovery+, Disney+. But I can add them if I want and still pay less.

I absolutely agree. Especially when the kids channels are part of the NowTV entertainment pack. It feels that because this is sky's premium product they try and squeeze every penny out of its customers. They need to work to increase the value proposition, the new deal with Disney and HBO is a start.

Even VM provide kids channels for free over some school holidays etc, never seen sky do any promotion like this.

MikeAlanR
