I am thinking of ditching Sky Q and moving to the puk boxes and was wondering if I could take my current package over to this. I don't want Sky Glass

Unless there is a cost issue, i.e. the cost of Sky Q outweighs the amount you use it, I would stay with Q for as long as you can.

Being happy with Sky Stream basically comes down to whether you can be happy with Sky's design choices. Also, don't assume because you get a great WiFi signal where you are going to place the puck it will be good enough for Sky Stream.

I had Sky+ / Sky Q for years and only cancelled them when the cost outweighed the use. I got Sky Stream in July 2024 and was happy with the cost but just cancelled it as I was far from happy with its performance. My contract ends on the 30th January but I've already disconnected the puck as it wasn't doing my blood pressure any good.

There are obviously people who are happy with Sky Stream and will give you their opinion. I suggest you have a look through this forum before you make any decisions.
