Hi @Chris704 I fully agree this was very frustrating but the good news is Sky are currently rolling out an new UI which changes the pause time from 10 to 25 minutes and if you exceed that time the puck does not go into standby but just releases the pause and the programme continues to play. If this happens you can then just rewind to the place you originally paused the programme.

I received the updated UI recently and the pause function is a vast improvement. Like all Sky updates they roll them out in batches so you will just have to wait your turn as you cannot force an update.

Pause timing out

Sky Stream box can pause live/streamed services BUT if you pause for more than a few minutes (take a phone call/make a cup of tea etc.) it times out and for live TV you have to restart and go to live where you miss a chunk of the programme. For streamed you have to start again. So can I extend the pause time and how is this done?

Sadly, it's not something you can change.
