Hi there. We have ad skipping as part of the package, however on itvX, when we ff the ads, it's started then going back to the start of the program every time we fast forward an ad. Is this a known issue please?

When fast forwarding press play just before the bar reaches the end. It should then resume just before the end of the ad break.

You can also press pause and then rewind on ITVX and then it will begin playing content again in the next segment (i.e. after the ads).

I have been playing with this and all you need to do when an Ad comes on is press fast forward 3 times for the fastest speed and leave it do not touch the remote!

It will then go all the way to the end of bar, then it go back to the previous screen and it appears as the beginning of the stream, then you get a circle (wait) icon in the middle then it moves to the section after the ads and continues playing where you were before.

My advice, once you fast forward on the AD's DO NOT TOUCH THE REMOTE! 😉

I tried this, I let the bar move all the way to the right when fast forwarding, the program I was watching went back to the beginning of the show, which is getting really annoying, as then you have to skip forward to where the ad break was to play from where you left off in the first place

Can somebody fix this, I'm paying for ad

skipping, not skipping back to the start of the show everyone I try to skip ads !!

Hi @Michaeljf80 Posts 2, 3 and 4 above all give slightly different ways of using FF in the ITVX app and from my experience they all work.

Try resetting ITVX by opening the app & entering 0 0 0 0 7 7 7

This clears the cache and should help resolve any issues. After entering the code the App should respond by saying “The storage has been cleared”. Select OK and the App will reset and display the privacy & cookies information. Select continue. You may need to sign back into the App.

Note - there is no where specific to enter the code just type it into your remote when you have the ITVX homepage open.

I would also do a restart of the puck by going to Settings > System Management > Resets & Updates > restart device. It takes a couple of minutes and you will get a blank screen for a while until the Sky logo appears.

Both these procedures help remove any software glitches in your system. Good luck

Yeah ITV X will occassionally do that unfortunately. Not all the time but i've had this exact thing happen on the odd occassion.
