Unacceptable Sky Sports F1 catch-up issue continues

I reduced my Sky Sports subscription to just Sky Sports F1 this year as I'm not really interested in the other sports, however it's brought up an issue which I believe has previously been the case too.

On Sky Stream, because Sky Sports have decided to simulcast the race across Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports F1, the Sky Stream box only pulls the catch-up information from the Main Event channel.

This means when trying to catch-up with F1 sessions (like I've tried to this morning), it won't let me because it says I don't subscribe to that channel.

Why doesn't the Sky Stream pull the feed from the Sky Sports F1 channel that I'm paying quite a significant extra sum for? Now I'm in a situation where I can't watch back the session from this morning yet until it's 'uploaded' in the background from the Sky Sports F1 feed.

Same issue for me. Paying for Sky F1 only and sky stream is pulling F1 events from Main Event channel, therfore asking me to upgrade subscription to view.

The one reason I pay for sky is to watch F1 on demand and they have messed this up.

It's really frustrating. I think I found a workaround this morning by not going through my planner and instead navigating to the 'Sports' tile on the homepage, then the 'Forumla 1' tile - everything there seems to pull from Sky Sports F1 and I was able to watch this morning's Qualifying from the beginning while it was still being broadcast. Nice find. This worked for me too when I found it.

Too bad sky support didnt think of this. I wasted 30mins explaining the problem and being told to reboot my router and stream box.

Not impressed.

I've done the same and now just got F1. Why is the sound on the UHD channel only stereo. I thought it used to be Atmos?

Is your Stream sound settings set to Dolby or are they PCM? PCM will make it all stereo but can help with lip sync issues.

@Anonymous its set to pass through. Netflix etc works fine. I've had stream for 18 months and I'm sure F1 was Atmos when we had Sky Sports. Hubby was watching it on catchup while it was on live but that shouldn't make any difference. I will start my own thread.

F1 on Sky has never had Dolby Atmos.

This is because, F1 FOM, who themselves produce the picture/audio for the event, do not produce their content in Dolby Atmos and thus supply their source to broadcasters, like Sky in only 2.0 and 5.1 formats.

The Sky Sports F1 and Sky Sports Main event channels in uhd/hdr does provide 5.1

I had an ongoing chat with a Sky representitve over this issue, which appeared as though it was being taken seriously and being fixed - however because I haven't logged in for a few days the chat has now disappeared and I'm not sure what the latest is.

Checking the upcoming 'On this week' rail for Formula 1, every single item still proudly shows as being on Sky Sports Main Event UHD rather than Sky Sports F1 UHD, unless I click on 'Other Showings' for each scheduled item. I have no doubts that all of this will be pulled into my Playlist from Main Event again, meaning the annoying workaround. It can't be hard to fix, surely?

Thought I'd come back to give credit where it's due - despite not having follow up, it seems that the team have been working on it in the background and this issue doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Sky sports F1 not showing all races

Having been away with work I wanted to come

back and catch up on missed races on my sky stream service. I was able to watch the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in full but for Singapore I can only seem to get

FP2, FP3, Grand Prix Sunday (build up) and checkered flag (post race)

i am completely unable to even see the option to watch, FP1, qualifying, the race itself or even any highlights.

Why can't I see the content I'm paying for?

I wanted to watch full f1 Las Vegas quali this morning on my iPad on catch up. Why is this not available? Only a 4 minute highlight?

I was exactly the same for that race, and also today for the Las Vegas FP3 and Qualifying.

They just aren't there in the playlist, and I've looked as sometimes finding say the chequered flag it will be in 'other' rather than 2025.

At least I'm not paying through the nose for it.

This issue is still happening intermittently. 2025 Baku qualifying was nowhere to be found and today the Vegas FP3 and Qualifying are missing from my playlist on Stream.

Yep, I was expecting FP3 and Qualifying, neither there for me this morning. Not the first time it has happened for me, Baku also this year. It has likely happened more, but I've watched a lot live so wouldn't notice.

Really annoying, I watch no other sports and have to have the full package. They could at least manage the programming better.
