Are you a Sky Glass owner, because this is the Sky Stream section of the forum?

If you are Sky Stream then the volume is dependant on your tv or sound bar and you program the remote to adjust it.

It does vary though. You can keep the volume at the same level and it is quieter on some days. To get the volume back, you seem to have to restart the puck.

Volume is typically dependent on content, while quality is to do with the speakers available to reproduce it.

This worked for me. Change the Digital audio output HDMI setting to PCM Stereo. Go to Settings, Picture & sound, Sound. Finally, try restarting your Sky Stream puck as this can often resolve sound issues.
